    “A Particle of God” centers on my curiosity and fascination with the seeming unfairness in the awarding of success, fame and fortune. Millions of individuals try to do the “right thing” in life. Yet, their life is a series of never-ending struggles. They watch as others less ethical, less moral and less talented are rewarded with accolades, vast recognition and prosperity. Is life simply unfair or is there another perspective? This book offers people who feel they have been denied fame and fortune another way of assessing their lives.
    And so I invented a story about a talk show host who wallows in an unrequited love affair with fame, believing that fate has denied him the fame he feels he deserves. Unexpectedly, he receives an e-mail from an unidentified, mysterious sender who instructs him to go for a long drive. Along the way, he has a series of supernatural encounters with departed icons of his profession—Johnny Carson, Jack Paar, Steve Allen and others. His heroes share knowledge that they have learned on “the other side.” What that knowledge is will either consol, enlighten or shock you. For certain, it will make you think and consider your own life while entertaining you as well.
    “A Particle of God” is the culmination of the universes I have explored and been a part of for so many years: broadcasting and spirituality. If the adage to write what you know has merit—and I believe it does—then I have done my job.
